University Library Administrative Policy:
Supporting non-Library databases & Digital Collections
The UC Davis University Library does not support the placement of non-Library databases and/or digital collections on Library servers. The primary purpose of Library hardware is to support the collections and services of the University Library. Hosting non-library materials on the library's servers requires hardware, software, and personnel for which the Library is not budgeted. Also, the UC-wide and campus cybersafety and intellectual property requirements dictate a level of security and ownership that the library cannot vouch for when non-library materials are involved.
