Overview

A virtual private network (VPN) is a communications network tunneled through another network. VPN provides a secure method of accessing licensed web resources restricted to systems assigned a campus IP address.

A UCD LoginID is a precondition for using the VPN.

As of fall 2007, UC Davis students, staff and faculty are able to access library licensed resources from off-campus, using Virtual Private Network (VPN).
