The University Library is pleased to announce the opening of all-gender/family restrooms. These spaces allow for safe and secure restroom access that can be used by people who do not feel comfortable in a gender normative restroom (a toilet specifically designated for men or women). The flexibility of the rooms also allows them to be used as a family restroom. Family restrooms are a single room where parents and children can safely and securely use a single room. The Shields restroom will soon feature a changing table.

Locations:

• The two Physical Science & Engineering all-gender restrooms can be found on the lower level.
• The one Shields Library all-gender restroom is located on the Northeast side of the 4th floor.
• The two Carlson Health Sciences Library's all-gender restrooms are on the first floor.
