More Information
The UC Davis Student Library Advisory Council [SLAC] was formed in Fall 2012 to advise the University Library on library policies, services, collections and spaces. Membership is limited to 10 undergraduates.
The Council broadly represents the academic programs and overall diversity of UC Davis and:
- Holds regular meetings to discuss and advise on library issues
- Acts as a sounding board for new library initiatives
- Participates in campus events and meetings, as requested, by the UC Davis Library Administration
- Advocates for the library among the UC Davis undergraduate community
More details about the expectations and responsibilities involved in serving on the Advisory Council are outlined in the SLAC Bylaws (http://lgdata.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/docs/1836/645508/SLAC_bylaws_1.16.13.pdf)PDF
