The UC Davis General Library is pleased to join students, faculty, staff, and members of the community as we explore sustainability in our daily lives during UC Davis Focus the Nation, January 31, 2008. The people who make up the Library have taken several measures, personally and professionally, to reduce our impact on global warming; including installing energy efficient lighting, encouraging the use of reusable cups by allowing them in the library, and recycling paper and other products. In addition to Library efforts, staff members contribute to slowing climate change by biking, busing, skating, or taking the bus to work; buying local and or organic products; composting; recycling and reusing whenever possible.
