About the Libraries

The Head of the UC Davis Shields Library Access Services Department optimizes the operational effectiveness of Access Services with the leadership and vision to proactively meet the research, teaching, patient care and community service mission of the UC Davis faculty, staff, and students. The position provides the day-to-day management for Access Services and coordinates and oversees the Circulation, Reserves, Interlibrary Loan, Stacks Management, Library Security, and Mail Services Units in the Peter J. Shields Library. Additionally, this position acts as the lead for Access Service policy and rates, library-wide (Physical Sciences & Engineering, Carlson Health Sciences Library, & Blaisdell Medical Library).
