Head, Carlson Health Sciences Library / Coordinator for Health Sciences Collection Development

Areas of Responsibility

Has administrative responsibility for the Carlson Health Sciences Library, which serves the Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Coordinates collection development for the health sciences collections.

• MS, Library Science with specialization in health sciences librarianship, University of Illinois;
• BA Biology, Scripps College.

Professional Activities

Jo Anne has served as President of the Northern California and Nevada Medical Library Group (NCNMLG), on the Board of Directors for the Medical Library Association, as President of the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Special Libraries Association, and Chair of the Biomedical and Life Sciences Division of the Special Libraries Association. Member of the UC Davis Medical Informatics Graduate Group. She was named Fellow of the Medical Library Association in 1999, Fellow of the Special Libraries Association in 2000 and received the NCNMLG Award for Professional Excellence in 1996.
