- The majority of the collection consists of incoming correspondence to Edna Fisher (1870-1962). Primary correspondents are Ernest Blake, a cousin, and Adella Fisher (1867-1952), Edna's sister. From 1888 to 1889, Adella served as a primary school teacher in Winters, California, during which time she wrote many letters to her sister. The correspondence details family matters and the daily activities of the correspondents. Descriptions of news and life in Yolo County, California are also included.
