Fine Rates

2 Hour Items:	$2.00 for each hour or portion thereof overdue for the hours that Reserves is open, with a maximum fine[1] of $40.00 per item. 2-hour items are heavily used. The items must be returned promptly to allow other students to check them out.
1 Day Items:	$2.00 for each hour or portion thereof overdue for the hours that Reserves is open, with a maximum fine[1] of $40.00 per item. 1-day items are heavily used. The items must be returned promptly to allow other students to check them out.
3 Day Items:	$4.00 for each day or portion thereof overdue for the days that Reserves is open, with a maximum fine[1] of $40.00 per item.
Regular Loan:	No daily fines accrue. Items are billed for replacement according to the regular billing schedule. All replacement bills include a $15.00 non-refundable processing fee for each item billed.
Recalled Items:	Recalled items are billed for replacement (including the $15.00 processing fee) if not returned by the date they are due according to the Recall notice. In addition, daily fines of $2.00 per day (including days that Reserves is closed) will accrue and your library privileges will be suspended. Rush Recalls include a $20.00 processing fee.
Finals:	Fine rate for 2-hour, 1-day and 3-day items will double the week of finals beginning the day after instruction ends through the last day of finals exams.

If you reach the maximum fine amount your library privileges will be suspended.
Reserves fines and/or charges accrued will be automatically added to your UC Davis billing statement.
