NCBI Training at UC Davis: July 12 and 13, 2005
The UC Davis General Library is hosting the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) course “A Field Guide to GenBank and NCBI Molecular Biology Resources” at UC Davis on Tuesday July 12 and Wednesday 13, 2005. UC Davis faculty, students, and staff will have priority. Register now
The NCBI course is a lecture and hands-on computer workshop covering effective use of the Entrez databases (including GenBank) and search services. Please see Topics Covered below for additional topics the course will address. Detailed information about the course is available from the NCBI Training Center.
The course is free but registration is required.
Course Description
The course consists of a three hour lecture in the morning (July 12), followed by a two hour computer workshop either that afternoon or in the morning or afternoon of the following day (July 13).
Attendance at the lecture is required in order to attend a computer workshop.
Registration
UC Davis faculty, students, and staff who register before July 1, 2005 will receive priority. NCBI Course is full, registrations are no longer being accepted.
