Output Styles & EndNote

EndNote's output styles dictate how citations will look when printed on a page. EndNote currently offers access to over two thousand bibliographic styles, and new ones are added to the EndNote website frequently. Check EndNote's Style Finder if your preferred output style is not in the selection menu.

Selecting Output Styles

EndNote makes four internal styles available until you select more.

  1. Click the Style pull down menu on the main toolbar and highlight Select Another Style...

  2. The Choose An Output Style dialog box will appear. Select a new style (use the Find button to search all available styles by category or by name) and click Choose. The selected style will now be listed among the four internal styles in the drop down menu on the main tool bar. Select as many output syles as needed.
